WINTER ACTIVITIES
During the winter months, the Bemidji area offers a multitude of activities. Both area residents and visitors enjoy many miles of groomed cross country ski trails, several hundred miles of groomed snowmobile trails, downhill skiing at Buena Vista Ski Area, and Minnesota’s favorite winter pastime, ice fishing!
Here at Ruttger’s, we welcome you to take advantage of our indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, exercise room, weight training room, and outdoor ice skating rink (weather permitting).

Bemidji Area Winter Activities
Lake Bemidji State Park
Located just one mile down the shore from Ruttger’s, Lake Bemidji State Park grooms many miles of cross country ski trails and hosts several snowshoe outings throughout the winter.
Itasca State Park
Home of the Mississippi River headwaters, Itasca State Park is just 40 miles south with beautiful groomed cross country ski trails.
Buena Vista Ski Area
Only a ten minute drive from the resort, Buena Vista Ski Area offers a variety of downhill slopes, miles of groomed cross country ski trails, and a tubing hill.
