The Leadership Studies Program, along with the Department of Integrated Media and the Bemidji State University Alumni & Foundation, is hosting Jon McTaggart, President and CEO of American Public Media on October 30, 2019 in Memorial Hall 240. This event is free and open to the public. McTaggart will be discussing the need for strong leadership in journalism and why accurate reporting matters in an era of “fake news.” Jon will share his experience in broadcasting and what led him to where he is as a leader today. Whether you’re a student, educator or citizen, the right to free speech is a leadership responsibility we all share. A lively Q&A is expected afterward.
